GIMC/Estam Formation University officially welcomed new students

Grajoss Institute of Mass Communication in partnership with Estam Formation University Portnorvo,Benin republic(Lagos satellite campus) on Thursday 13th February 2020 officially welcomed to campus,it's newly admitted students for another academic session, warning them to steer clear of all forms of social Vices.
          The students in departments studying Mass communication Accounting, Computer science,Micro-Biology among others for certain duration of time.
          Speaking at the matriculation, the Rector GIMC Dr Olusoji Ajet-Ajetumobi,said the students should count themselves lucky as many others were not given the privilege. He acknowledged the presence of dignitaries who graced the Occasion. He finally apologized for the unavoidable absence of the Vice-Chancellor of Estam Formation University Portnorvo. He wished everyone a happy stay on Campus.
           Hon. Ipoola Omisoore a former member house of assembly Lagos State saif the Students needs to be focused in their academic pursuit. He narrated his experience as a Media Man not just an ordinary honorable . He finally promised to float a scholarship program  to support the school
           The representative of the RRS Commander Mr Wale S. Ajao treated the topic "SECURITY- ROLES OF ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS IN ENSURING PEACE". According to him an Educated man always think outside the box and ensures peace. Education can be said to be a peace builder. Mr Ajao mentioned some factors that ensures peace: Attitude, knowledge,skill & Value .
          Orientation determines how much an educated man travels,Mr Ajao said. Attitude determines the Altitude of a man. Explaining Orientation,he mentioned some things expected if all insttutions:

* Confidence Building
*Positive and Independent thinking
*Enough problem solving skills: this has both political and economic benefits. According to Mr Ajao,if you're unable to solve problem in this present age, You have no place...M
MrAjao said Education opens doors of opportunities. He said " when the door of opportunity
is opened students will think less of crimes and criminal activities............................................
          He finally congratulated the Matriculants and urged them to be lovers of peace.

Governor Okowa: Amotekun model won’t work in South-South By Agencies  - February 25, 2020 Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has revealed that adopting the “Amotekun” model of the Western Region was not an option in the South-South region. Okowa confirmed this while donating 35 pick-up-vans to security agencies in the state as he was received by the state’s Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Inuwa, at the Government House, Asaba, on Monday. Nigerian Electricity workers threatens strike

The Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies (SSAEAC) has threatened to embark on a fresh strike. The General Secretary, Abubakar Dubagari, issued the threat in a statement on Friday. This followed the letter sacking its President, Chris Okonkwo. The Managing Director, Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Umar Mohammed, had on April 24 issued the letter dismissing Okonkwo. Okonkwo was the company’s General Manager, Special Duties. The letter reads: “After servicing TCN for a period of about six years, please be informed that your political posting had lapsed by June 11, 2018 and you should have ceased from coming to work from June 12, 2018. Consequently, you are to stop coming to work with immediate effect.” Reacting, Dubagari warned the TCN to reverse the threat.
